CAMP FACILITIES: The Queens College is a beautiful landscaped 79-acre campus with out-door and in-door tennis courts and playing fields for soccer, softball and lacrosse. The Fitzgerald Gym is 40,000+ sq ft. basketball and volleyball courts and an 25 yard length pool.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: EDUCATION AND SPORTS PROGRAM: ages 5 -14 This program provides enrichment for youngsters who wish to develop talents and interests outside their regular schools. Faculty members have been selected for their ability to communicate the joy of learning to young students and to promote invention, creativity, and self-expression. All indoor classes are in air-conditioned classrooms. For the 5 & 6 year old we offer Kindergarten Academy or First Grade Academy which has small groups supervised by caring counselors. This program is combined with a half day of Sports activities, taught by experienced instructors who encourage the love of physical fitness, sports and good sportsmanship.

NEW QC Sports Club: Ages 9-14
Queens College facilities are among the best in the City. The spacious Fitzgerald Gym houses an Olympic-standard pool and basketball courts. Outdoor facilities include tennis courts, softball fields and soccer fields. Children ages 9 to 14 can choose a major/minor program that allows them to experience a number of different sports.

THEATER PRODUCTION: ages 9-14
Do you enjoy acting? Do you like to dance? Are you artistic—can you create scenery and costumes? Or would you rather go behind the scenes and become a stage manager? This program will teach campers the many different aspects to creating a successful musical play. The Theater Production will stimulate your child’s imagination while equipping them with valuable traits such as self-esteem and confidence. Join the fun as we put together a musical for parents and peers to see! Past musicals have included The Little Mermaid, Jungle Book, Oliver, Mary Poppins, and others!

LITTLE THEATER: ages 5 - 8
We will work on our dancing, singing and acting in the mornings then go have fun in the gym and fields in the afternoon along with instructional swim time. This year we're looking forward a production of Lion King and 101 Dalmatians. It's adorable!

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Counselor-in-Training Leadership Program for teenagers 15 and 16 focus on developing strong leaders. It helps prepare young adults for the next phases in their lives - college and the workplace. Gain job skills through training, discussion, observation & practical experiences. 8, 6 or 4 weeks programs. 8 week fee $2600.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: SPRING BREAK Sports Clinics: ages 6 to 13. April 10 to April 14, 9 to 3 $295. Children will concentrate on one specific sport in the morning and then practice with the Strength, Speed and Agility Team in the afternoon to pull it all together for a fun week. Our theatre-based workshops focus on developing personal and societal leadership, such as how to ask for what you need. In these sessions girls practice new tools for speaking up for themselves and for others.

We also create beautiful art projects, stay active outside, and always have a spirit theme for the day. These activities are designed to encourage girls to embrace who they are, reflect on what they believe, and give them an opportunity to express themselves creatively.

CAMP FACILITIES: Children live in wood-framed and screened cabins by age group, yet choose activities and wilderness trips individually. We have a wide range of activities in camp, and an extensive wilderness program - hiking, canoeing, kayaking, sailing throughout the Adirondack region.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The North Country Camps - Camp Lincoln for Boys and Camp Whippoorwill for Girls - are adventurous and fun full-season resident camps located in the Adirondack region of NY State. We offer a program that emphasizes individual choice, and we offer a wide range of activities in camp including horseback riding, sailing, canoeing, swimming, windsurfing, kayaking, bicycling, soccer, baseball, softball, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, tennis, archery, art, drama, dance, and woodshop.

We also offer an extensive Wilderness Trip program. The trips -day trips, overnights, and 3, 4, 5 day trips - include hiking, backpacking, canoeing, bicycling, riding, and sailing. Campers live in cabin groups of five or six campers with one counselor. Overall camper:counselor ratio is 3:1. The majority of campers attend for the full 7 1/2 week season, and we also have a 5 week option. First-time campers may enroll for 3 weeks with the option to stay.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Mostly Art Summer Program

Imagine your child spending one or more weeks this summer making a huge variety of exciting drawing, painting and sculpture projects, listening to stories, and enjoying an active recess! That’s what our Mostly Art Summer Program is all about. Our art summer camp in NYC is small with a 5:1 ratio of teachers to students, so your child will get lots of personal attention.

A generous snack is provided. Children and teens will bring their lunch Monday through Thursday, which they’ll eat while hearing favorite fairy-tales and fables.

Mostly Art runs from June through August. There’s a one-week minimum, but ask about our special 10% discount for signing up for three or more weeks!

We also have a Half-Day Art program running in the mornings and afternoons most weeks, depending on availability.

Art In Motion & Junior Art In Motion

Does your child love art AND dance? From June through August you can have both! Art In Motion is our innovative partnership with American Youth Dance Theater, located directly across East 75th Street from The Art Center.

Art In Motion, ages 6.5 – 10, features half a day of art 9am – 12pm (drawing, painting and sculpture) 5 days a week and half a day of dance 12pm – 3pm (ballet, tap, jazz, and yoga) 4 days a week (Monday – Thursday) at American Youth Dance Theater.

Our NEW Junior Art In Motion, ages 5 – 6, features half a day of dance 9am – 12pm 4 days a week at American Youth Dance Theater, and half a day of art 12pm – 3pm 4 days a week (Monday – Thursday).

A generous snack is provided and we ask that children bring their own lunch (no nuts or peanut butter). This is the perfect program for active children ages 5 – 10 who want the best of both creative worlds. Ask about our special 10% discount for booking three or more weeks!

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Looking for a fun way to keep your child occupied when school is out for the day? Try All-Day Art! These special art classes in New York meet on school holidays from 9 am to 3 pm. During each All-Day Art session, children (grades K and up) and teens tackle one large art project of their choosing and several smaller ones. Past projects have included awesome paper mache warriors, Impressionist pastels, fashion designs, imaginary craypas drawings, watercolor drawings of flowers, and ceramic animals. We offer generous snacks to keep hunger pangs at bay, but kids will need to bring their own lunch and beverages (no nuts or peanut butter, please). The cost for one All-Day Art Class is $150 per child.

What makes Vanderkamp so different is that it treats children as true equals - getting rid of rules designed for adult convenience, and focusing on helping children to love themselves for exactly who they are. CAMP FACILITIES: Summit has approx. 30 traditional wooden cabins with electric and private facilities in each cabin. Our main buildings include our newly refinished dining hall, air-conditioned recreational hall, our medical facility, and a newly built outdoor pavilion. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summit Camp is a co-ed sleepaway camp for ages 8-19 years with issues of attention: AD/HD, HFA/Asperger’s Disorder, and/or learning differences. Our summer camp is only as good as the staff it hires. That is why we search the globe for the most experienced and enthusiastic staff members we can find. From England to Australia and California to Maine, our staff consists of about fifteen different nations and over twenty states. Everyone comes together with one goal in mind; to make sure our campers have the best summer of their lives!

We are looking for general counselors, specialist counselors, leadership positions, and support staff for the upcoming summer. General counselors spend the day with their division of campers; guiding, supporting, and supervising them as they go from activity to activity.

As a specialist, you concentrate on a specific area, passing on your knowledge to our campers to ensure they are learning or mastering that skill. The leadership roles we fill each summer range from department heads and group leaders to medical staff and office assistants. Lastly, our support staff members work behind the scenes as kitchen staff, maintenance workers, groundskeepers, and housekeepers to ensure the day to day operations of camp are handled.

We hire 10th grade CITs (counselors in training) who get to be involved in activities as a camper while learning how to be a leader through directing, choreographing and running activities. 

CAMP FACILITIES: Each of our cabins is equipped with complete bathrooms/ showers, electricity, porches and plenty of space. (No bunk beds!) Cabins are designed to hold between 5-8 campers with a minimum of 3 staff members living in each cabin so that we can maintain our 2:1 camper counselor ratio.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Located along a secluded nine-mile lake in the Adirondacks of New York State is a private/ independent seven-week residential camp for 130 children from across the United States and around the world. Camp Northwood is oriented toward children with low self-esteem, immature social skill development, high functioning autism, Asperger's Syndrome and learning challenges in need of a structured and supportive, socially therapeutic summer experience. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The athletic program includes team sports and individual challenges. From basketball, softball, soccer and Frisbee to tennis, archery, biking and yoga, Ramah offers activities for all interests and skill levels. Older campers have the option to compete against other camps in varsity and junior varsity programs. They can improve their skill by learning from experts in our "Coaches-in-Residence" program. Yom Sport provides everyone with a day of friendly competition at all skill levels. We also offer a four day intensive sports clinic.

Ramah Berkshires campers enjoy swimming, boating and water play on beautiful Lake Ellis. The Red Cross certified waterfront staff instructs and guards our daily instructional swim periods, as well as free swim times. For older campers, we offer a lifeguard training certification. Our water trampoline, slide, "blob" and "Summit" add to the fun on the waterfront. Campers enjoy learning to kayak, canoe, and sail on the lake. Older campers have opportunities to participate in overnight boating adventures, as well.

Summer camp is about the great outdoors, and there's plenty of that at Ramah! Our Al Hagova specialists are trained to teach environmental values to campers through overnights and nature walks. Older campers experience multi-day bike trips and hiking trips. Campers of all ages look forward to "flying" through the air on our zip-line, or mastering climbing skills on our rock wall. Groups of campers learn to bond and cooperate while on our ropes course or hiking up Ramah Mountain. Our in-camp mountain bike trail is used by campers of all ages.

Jewish music and dance are keys to our program! Campers learn classic Israeli dances and songs, as well as modern pop tunes. Among the highlights of the summer are the Zimriyah (camp–wide song festival) and Rikudiah (dance festival). Drama specialists offer workshops in dramatic techniques and skills. Many camper edot (divisions) perform a musical play in Hebrew. Interested campers can opt for drama workshops. Those campers who love to sing can be part of our a cappella groups. Our staff and older camper a capella group performs each Friday evening, setting the mood as Camp ushers in Shabbat.

Experienced artists and art teachers transmit their love of arts and crafts and fine art throughout the summer. From painting, sculpting and papier mache to jewelry-making, woodworking and tallit-making, campers are introduced to a wide-range of activities and have the opportunity to hone their skills in areas of special interest. At various times during the summer, visiting artists share their specialties with our campers.

The multi-media center enables campers to explore photography, radio and film-making. Interested campers can improve their photography skills as they document the summer in pictures. They can anchor their own radio show on Camp's radio station, Kol Ramah (Voice of Ramah), that broadcasts throughout Camp. They can even film, direct, edit and produce movies under the guidance of our videography staff.

Interwoven into all aspects of camp life are Conservative Jewish values and Ahavat Yisrael, love of Israel. Campers participate in age-appropriate and meaningful daily prayer. Jewish learning factors into all aspects of the daily schedule, from sportsmanship to the Jewish view of saving the environment.
Integral to the Ramah community is the Mishlachat, educators and support staff from Israel who work in all aspects of camp life. They provide campers with a taste of Israel, exposure to Hebrew language, and an understanding of current events in the Middle East.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our oldest campers, entering eleventh grade in our Gesher division learn important leadership skills, spending time as counselors in training (CIT) by helping our youngest campers with their daily activities. These campers receive specialized training from the Ramah Staff, as well as on-going instruction from visiting specialists during the summer. This last year, Gesher—meaning bridge—allows these campers to envision themselves as models and leaders to younger campers.

CAMP FACILITIES: NYC Elite UWS is a 13,500 square foot facility that includes equipment for all 4 Olympic events (floor, beam, bars, and vault), as well as a giant foam pit, ball pit, trampolines, and more fun equipment for your child to bounce on!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: While at NYC Elite Gymnastics UWS, your child will have a lifetime experience of fun, friends and memories as we integrate all of our programs into weekly activities including gymnastics, dance, swimming, tennis, soccer, arts and crafts and park activities. We have a low child to instructor ratio to ensure safety and optimal fun. Space is limited in each age group so register early!!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: For more than 25 years, Hofstra Summer Camps has provided a safe and enriching environment for children in all grade levels. We expect 2014 to be our most exciting summer ever, with thrilling new programs that offer a variety of ways to enrich campers’ social development, creativity, and physical and academic potential.

Hofstra Specialty Camps offers a broad spectrum of programs — fine arts, performing arts, science, tennis, golf, and more than 20 additional specialties — with the flexibility to register for two, four, six, or seven weeks. Campers spend half the day in their chosen specialty and the other half in recreation and instructional swim.

If your camper in grades 2 through 12 wants to improve their athletic skills, he or she can choose Sports Academy Camps in baseball, basketball, lacrosse, wrestling, volleyball, soccer, softball, pep band, dance, and cheerleading.

Does your camper prefer more intellectual or creative pursuits? No problem! Our Learning Institute programs offer wonderful opportunities for students to challenge themselves in positive, enjoyable settings.

And once again, we are proud to partner with Nassau BOCES to offer a wide range of unique and exciting programs for youth in grades 3-11, including our Hofstra Precollegiate Career Discovery Institute for grades 7-11, which gives teens the opportunity to explore possible future careers in culinary arts, veterinary, video production, graphic design, aviation, criminal justice and more! These experiences will help teens explore their passions while gaining solid fundamentals and skills. With convenient locations on the Hofstra campus and at Nassau BOCES’ Brookville, Caumsett and Barry Tech locations, there is something for everyone!

Hofstra’s knowledgeable and reputable staff focuses on teaching self-respect, courage, and responsibility, while building campers’ self-esteem, self-confidence, and character. CAMP FACILITIES: Our summer camp facilities are extensive, having constantly been built up and improved since 1926. In addition to our lake, 1.5 miles of private shoreline and over 800 acres of land, our facilities support a huge range of summer camp sports and activities, including basketball, baseball, soccer, swimming, horseback riding, and much more.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: FLC is not a co-ed camp but rather a brother/sister camp. This means that our boys camp and girls camp each have their own distinct programs, activities, campuses, and living areas. The separate girls and boys camp programs co-exist on our same FLC property, providing a unique experience for each. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Voice, acting, dance, improv all taught but current and past broadway performers. From 9-4 every day right here in NYC! This will be our 6th Summer for Broadway Bootcamp and the IAMT brand should instill confidence that your child will be mentored by some of the best teachers in NYC. Take dance classes from performers who actually performed them on a Broadway stage! From two-time Tony Award nominated actor/dancer Gavin Lee (Mary poppins and Spongebob) to Paloma Garcia Lee (Charlie and the Choc factory, Phantom of the Opera, Nice work if you can get it, Natasha Pierre and Moulin rouge), Keven Quillion (Bandstand, My fair lady, grease, Shrek), IAMT Dance Head Nicholas Cunningham, Broadway choreographer Ricky Hinds, Jennifer DiNoia (Wicked), Deanna Doyle (On The Town, Tuck Everlasting and many more!
