CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The discipline of ballet challenges the student physically and mentally. It is the foundation for any type of dance and enhances flexibility and control for any athlete. Our school emphasizes the importance of a correct foundation so that students will have the opportunity to develop skills to their maximum potential.

This Summer Dance Program is specially designed with different characteristics: Some classes are for students who need to develop skills, strength, clean up defects or difficulties, and get ready for the serious training they will be experiencing during the next school year. Other classes are meant to be an introduction to ballet, tap, jazz, and flamenco through a very special training method for younger students. Field trips to cultural sites. Final performance by the children showcasing all the disciplines they have learned through the three weeks of the program. Lunch is included in the tuition.

OTHER CAMP INFO: The Project Endeavor Experience takes students and faculty from around the globe and works with each participant to hone their skills and talents. Each participant will be assigned a team and each team will work with a team leader to design a project or perform a routine or create a masterpiece that will be shown to members of that given field at a final banquet. The team that is elected by members of that profession will be honored at the event and will be able to meet with the judges. As a part of the Project Endeavor experience, each team will base their project and the competition on behalf of a local charitable organization. The winning team will receive a donation on its behalf from Project Endeavor to the selected organization.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our out of town campers are personally picked up at the Miami International Airport and brought to our camp. (about 20 minutes away) They stay in the college dorms with our awesome counselors - providing a total camp experience. Day campers enjoy a daily hot lunch in the UM cafeteria. Each camp concludes with a Final Concert, where every student performs in one of UM's fine concert halls.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: UWF's Explore Summer Camps present awesome opportunities for youth to widen horizons and discover new strengths. All of our programs are carefully designed to be engaging and fun. The summer 2020 season is from June 1 to August 7.

Instructors are certified teacher and are the best of the best. They are concerned about the welfare of all students, knowledgeable about their subject matter, work extremely well with parents, and are genuinely excited about teaching at UWF’s Explore Summer Camps. The safety of your child is our number one priority, and we take pride in our outstanding reputation in providing a very safe and enjoyable experience for your child. Our staff is full of energy and driven to provide motivating curriculum choices for you and your child. Everyone in the Explore Summer Camp staff has a thorough background check at the time of their assignment.

A College type indoor basketball and multi use gym; different classrooms to keep our campers easily separated by age groups, a professional auditorium for our morning virtual presentations, outdoor basketball courts for little and older ones, a splash pad for the campers to cool off during summer time, football, baseball, tennis, track and field courts and much more!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Unbeatables is the only Life Skills Training and Multi sports summer program in USA, created especially for children ages 5 to 14. We have a perfect combination between sports and fun activities with education in the 6 most important areas of the children's life: fitness and nutrition, social environment, family life, school success, interest exploration and emotional life. Our campers end their summer well equipped with : 1) effective tools to manage the most common situations that they may confront at their age 2) instruction and practice in the most popular and likable sports and 3) Having had lots of fun doing the most innovative camp activities.

CAMP FACILITIES: Great facility with 2 large dance rooms with sprung floors for the safety and well fair of students. A changing room, reception area, and bathrooms.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The themed kiddie camps are dedicated to children ages 3 - 6 years of age. The program allows children to explore various types of dance forms such as ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz, acrobatics and flamenco. Children are given daily dance related arts and crafts projects. The program also allows children to further develop their love of dance through stories. Children learn to express themselves through dance in a creative, energetic and nurturing environment. Programs are two weeks long per session. Imagination is brought into play as they learn to dance with their favorite movie characters! Family and friends are invited to come on the last day of the session to a small showing.

Dance Intensives are offered to students at the age of 8 years or older. It is designed for all levels of dance to further develop their technique while experiencing other forms of dance such as Modern Dance, Improvisation and Composition. Pirouettes, Stretch & Strength will be the main focuses. Campers will put on an end-of-intensive showing for family and friends.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, HipHop, Acrobatics, Flamenco, Lyrical, and Modern Dance are offered for a variety of levels. Youngest start at a 3 years of age. CAMP FACILITIES: We feel that a camp experience should be one filed with the allure of living outdoors. Part of the experience is the soothing sounds of the Florida night. Our rustic cabins give the camper the perfect blend of the outdoor experience and a few comforts of home. Our cabins have 12-16 bunks, ceiling fans, power, storage shelves and a front porch. Teen campers enrolled in Camp Warrior live in more modern cabins complete with air conditioning, lofts, and a kitchenette. Bathhouses are located next to the cabin areas. Each bathhouse features toilets, sinks, and private shower stalls.

The flagship of our facilities is our newer 14,000 square foot activities center complete with 24 stall center isle barn, with tack rooms, wash bays, bathrooms and indoor skatepark. This 40 acre facility also houses our new high ropes challenge course designed by Project Adventure and our ATV track. Next to our activities center is our new camp office which includes a recording studio and comfortable, climate controlled activity room for Camp Warrior. An extensive renovation plan is in place over the next three years that will transform camp!

Another high point of Camp Indian Springs facilities is our natural fresh water spring. This natural wonder is over 40′ deep in some places! For most of the year the water flows clear and it always remains a refreshing 68 degrees. Indian Springs is internationally know as one of the best cave systems in the world to dive. Unfortunately we can’t offer this to our campers but we stay very busy catering to the divers in the off season. Tours can be arranged with Cave Connections.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Indian Springs, first established in 1965, is a fun-filled, action packed private summer resident camp for boys and girls ages 7-16. Located on 77 acres, camp is nestled beside the wooded springs of beautiful Wakulla Springs State Park amidst the Apalachicola and Wakulla Forest of North Florida. Camp Indian Springs offers a summer experience rich in fun, friendship, learning and extreme adventure. Camp Indian Springs is truly a place where a summer will last a lifetime!

What makes Camp Indian Springs stand out above the rest is our 90% staff return rate. Unlike most other summer camps you will not find a staff search on our web site or a Craigslist ad seeking staff. This is due to our extensive C.I.T. (Counselor-In-Training) program and high staff retention rate. Growing a staff within creates a competitive and safe environment to select the best of the best. More than half the staff have been at camp five years or more. All counselors are carefully selected for their camp skills and must possess superb references. High Seas Adventure Camp on our 70 foot yacht. Campers will get the chance to be on the crew of a real yacht as they travel. They will also experience treasure hunts as well as ride jet skis, and use our yachter-slide.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our C.I.T. program is one of our most valued Camp Indian Springs program. This program is vital to the success of our camp. This is where we grow the future camp staff and world leaders of tomorrow. Our Counselor In Training program is the first step to become a camp staff member. The program is for campers age 15 to 17 who desire to become camp staff. The program is designed to teach young men and women to become productive leaders and staff members. A majority of the camp’s current staff have come up through our C.I.T. program.

C.I.T.s are placed in a younger cabin with a Senior and Junior counselor and have a vital role in cabin leadership. C.I.Ts also take a C.I.T. only class and assist in other classes throughout the day.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): We are open year round for group retreats, family camps, family reunions, and any other event possible.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We are open year-round for a tremendous and unforgettable experience for the whole family, school, sports team, or any other group! Camp J Traditional Camp for children entering grades K-8 provides a well-rounded traditional camp program every week. Campers are placed into groups by age, and participate in a variety of activities like arts and crafts, recreation, music, science, dance, cooking and more!

Camp J Sports is an instructional and recreational sports program within the framework of the General Camp. Campers are placed into a group based on age and skill level, and practice and compete in a variety of sports including basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, volleyball, dodgeball, and more!

Specialty Camps give campers the opportunity to focus on learning new skills within a specific program area. Ages and dates vary by program. Programs this summer include theater, basketball, art, science, dance and more!

Our new director of Camp J, Betsy has been working at camp for 25 years. It’s a magical place where kids can be themselves and feel accepted and cared for. It’s also a place of learning and growth, where campers can explorer their interests and find out about ones they never had! CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We offer a Leadership Development Program for Grades 6-8. This program is the perfect blend of fun at camp, with experiential learning to put them on the path to becoming camp counselors. Participants spend time working with younger campers, learning through hands-on leadership training, and go on a special field trip just for the age group.

We also offer a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program for Grades 9-10. Our CIT Program prepares teens to work at camp. CITs are placed with a camper group and participate in workshops to learn child care and leadership skills, and gain valuable work experience.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: School's Out Days: Pack even more fun into your summer! Our School’s Out Day mini-camp program on Thursday, May 31 and Friday, June 1 bridge the end of school and the start of camp.

Saturday Night Out: Each month, the JCC also offers its
Saturday Night Out program for children. Drop your kids off for a fun night of pizza, games and activities with their friends and favorite counselors, while you enjoy a
night out! The program runs 6-11 p.m.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp J is a program of the Jack & Lee Rosen Jewish Community Center. We are a cultural institution whose mission is to serve local families and our entire community. Jewish values and culture are the foundation from which we derive our mission. We believe that these values – such as respect, honestly, friendship, and community – are universal.

The Southwest Orlando community is incredibly diverse, and this diversity is embraced in all of our programming. Our goal is to make all campers feel comfortable and included. We are not a religious institution, although we sometimes sing songs with Hebrew words (usually the word “shalom”, or “peace” is a prominent theme), and we do a brief Shabbat celebration on Friday afternoon, which includes a song session filled with spirit (“ruach”) and eating challah bread. We also bring a counselor from Israel to lead our arts and crafts activities, with the intention of exposing our children to a different culture and building a relationship between our communities.

Improv-a-thon
July 15 - July 26. Performance July 26 at 6pm. Camp runs from 9am - 3pm. For advanced 8th - 12th graders. A two-week acting & play-building workshop for creative teenagers and young adults. We combine improvisation techniques, writing, visual art, storytelling, and community engagement to create an original piece. Limited to 15 participants. Register early! This year's theme: Road Trip. Camp A-Go-Go �Go-Go 2:
July 8 - July 12 Camp runs from 9am - 1pm. For 1st - 4th graders. One week creative dramatic camps encompassing theater games, storytelling, dress-up, pantomime, singing, and dancing. Non-stop fun and learning as students learn self-control and ignite their creativity within a group setting. For our youngest campers emphasis is on focus, theater vocabulary, expressing oneself non-verbally. Cost: $175. Deposit of $75 due at registration.

June 10 - June 14 �Zone Y: July 9 - July 13 Camp runs from 9am - 1pm. For rising 5th - 10th graders. YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Players by the Sea Theatre School of the Arts offers a safe and intimate environment where students can improve their skills, and "practice" their craft through two hour acting labs throughout the year.

Labs utilize improvisational techniques allowing the actor to engage his creativity, develop his listening and focusing skills, and spontaneously use his intuition to make choices in the moment. All of the activities engaged in class promote confidence, leadership and team work.

CAMP FACILITIES: Hard-wood sprung floors covered with Marley (that protect dancers' joints through training), wall length mirrors and ballet barres give our two classrooms the professional space needed to properly build dancers. Lobby space provides free WiFi.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Orlando Ballet School is a Classical Ballet School. Teachers are background checked to work with children of all ages and the school is one of only four in the U.S. that is ABT (American Ballet Theatre Training) certified. Classes for children start at age two.
