CAMP PROGRAM INFO: UWF's Explore Summer Camps present awesome opportunities for youth to widen horizons and discover new strengths. All of our programs are carefully designed to be engaging and fun. The summer 2020 season is from June 1 to August 7.

Instructors are certified teacher and are the best of the best. They are concerned about the welfare of all students, knowledgeable about their subject matter, work extremely well with parents, and are genuinely excited about teaching at UWF’s Explore Summer Camps. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The OBS Summer Intensive is for intermediate through advanced students ages 11 and up. International guest teachers supplement our professional, ABT Curriculum certified staff. Classes in ballet, character, pointe, variations, modern, jazz, men’s, partnering and nutrition are offered. Students participate in an average of six hours of daily training Monday through Saturday. Student housing, transportation, and supervision are offered for participants. Structured recreational time and several trips to major theme parks are also included as an option. Only exceptional students are selected from a combination of national auditions and mailed DVD submissions.

CAMP FACILITIES: 16 A/C & heated cabins in 2 villages, sandy waterfront hosts swimming and water activities, basketball court, sand volleyball court, games garden, 2 sports fields, 2 paintball fields, low & high ropes courses, archery range, rifle range, open air crafts building, A/C dining hall, open air chapel/amphitheater, large central fire circle, updated health center and a large education/activity building.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YMCA Camp Winona provides a great traditional, overnight camping experience. We try to balance tradition with the interests of today’s campers by offering fun, exciting and safe activities. Campers are grouped by age and gender and stay in small rustic cabins complete with built in bunk beds and air conditioning. There are up to 12 campers and two staff in each cabin surrounding centrally located bathhouses. Our meals are prepared by our camp chefs and served family style in our air conditioned dining hall. Our well-balanced meals include cereal, salad bar and sandwich options for those campers wishing an alternative/supplement to the meal. We are equipped to accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs.

At the Y, we believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. Our Resident Camp provides an exciting, safe community for young people to explore the outdoors, build self-esteem, develop interpersonal skills, create lasting friendships and make incredible memories. CAMP FACILITIES: Ninja Lounge is a state of the art sports and recreational facility located in the heart of North Miami. We feature several challenging and exciting attractions 10,000 square feet of trampoline space with 2 dodge ball courts, 3 basketball hoops, elevated rope courses, wall climbing, and a Tumble Trak for jumping and flipping. Ninja Lounge is also a certified Ninja Warrior training facility with obstacle courses for all ages.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This day camp has fun filled days with classes at our Central, and South Campuses including ballet, jazz, and musical theatre. It is targeted to beginning and intermediate students ages 7 through 12.

Improv-a-thon
July 15 - July 26. Performance July 26 at 6pm. Camp runs from 9am - 3pm. For advanced 8th - 12th graders. A two-week acting & play-building workshop for creative teenagers and young adults. We combine improvisation techniques, writing, visual art, storytelling, and community engagement to create an original piece. Limited to 15 participants. Register early! This year's theme: Road Trip. Camp A-Go-Go �Go-Go 2:
July 8 - July 12 Camp runs from 9am - 1pm. For 1st - 4th graders. One week creative dramatic camps encompassing theater games, storytelling, dress-up, pantomime, singing, and dancing. Non-stop fun and learning as students learn self-control and ignite their creativity within a group setting. For our youngest campers emphasis is on focus, theater vocabulary, expressing oneself non-verbally. Cost: $175. Deposit of $75 due at registration.

Get In The Character Zone �Zone X:
June 10 - June 14 �Zone Y: July 9 - July 13 Camp runs from 9am - 1pm. For rising 5th - 10th graders. This one week acting camp employs improvisation, theater games, and pantomime encouraging teamwork, concentration, and the creation of characters and scenes. This popular, fun camp builds listening, focus, blocking, and projection skills. Highly recommended for both the beginner and returning student, it culminates with a showcase. Tuition: $175. YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Players by the Sea Theatre School of the Arts offers a safe and intimate environment where students can improve their skills, and "practice" their craft through two hour acting labs throughout the year.

Labs utilize improvisational techniques allowing the actor to engage his creativity, develop his listening and focusing skills, and spontaneously use his intuition to make choices in the moment. All of the activities engaged in class promote confidence, leadership and team work.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our out of town campers are personally picked up at the Miami International Airport and brought to our camp. (about 20 minutes away) They stay in the college dorms with our awesome counselors - providing a total camp experience. Day campers enjoy a daily hot lunch in the UM cafeteria. CAMP FACILITIES: All Lovewell activities and performances take place in the Don Taft University Center on the NSU campus in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. This facility features state-of-the-art theater and music equipment, as well as a plethora of food and beverage options for students to enjoy during their meal breaks.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts has been hosting musical theatre writing workshops for young artists all over the globe for the last 30+ years. All Lovewell programs are staffed by fully-trained professional artists, and every collaborative work of musical theatre that is created is truly one-of-a-kind. At Lovewell, students are given the opportunity to create a new work of theatre from scratch, all the while exploring different avenues of the arts that they may have not been exposed to previously. CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Orlando Ballet School tuition scholarships are determined through auditions (age 7 + up) held (usually the second full week of August) during the registration/placement/scholarship week of classes each year the week before the regular school year begins.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Orlando Ballet School offers classes to all ages (age 2+) year round. The regular school year begins in August and ends in May with an annual Showcase. Extended classes for higher intermediate and above students continue throughout the summer, with younger student summer programs June through July. Opportunities to perform include the annual Showcase, Parent Observations, and for the Pre-Pro level students (approx. age 7 + up) auditions for Orlando Ballet's Nutcracker and select Family Show series.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Orlando Ballet School is part of the professional ballet company: Orlando Ballet. It is a non-profit organization (Orlando Ballet, Inc.). There are three school branches: Seminole Campus in Longwood, Florida; Central Campus in downtown Orlando, and South Campus in southern Orlando, Florida.

CAMP FACILITIES: Boarding students will reside at the University of North Florida in dormitories with private bathrooms. Full meal service is included and transportation on charter buses between Florida Ballet Training Center and UNF will be provided. Optional outings to the beach and other destinations may be offered. Boarding students will check in on Sunday, June 8 and check out on Saturdday, June 21.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The OBS Summer Intensive is for intermediate through advanced students ages 11 and up. International guest teachers supplement our professional, ABT Curriculum certified staff. Classes in ballet, character, pointe, variations, modern, jazz, men’s, partnering and nutrition are offered. Students participate in an average of six hours of daily training Monday through Saturday.

Student housing, transportation, and supervision are offered for participants. Structured recreational time and several trips to major theme parks are also included as an option. Only exceptional students are selected from a combination of national auditions and mailed DVD submissions.

The first half of the day is structured like a typical school day. We will will focus on the maintenance of skills and concepts they have acquired throughout the school year. Our afternoon activities will be based around each session's theme, giving your child the opportunity to explore fun, new concepts, while focusing on the areas of motor skills, sensory integration, communication, social and functional life skills. With our unique 1:4 ratio, campers will receive the individualized attention needed to thrive throughout the summer!

CAMP FACILITIES: The camp is located at Inna's Hall of Fame Performing Arts Conservatory - a facility with 2 dance studios, a black box theater, 3 piano rooms, drums, guitar and art rooms.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The morning starts with stretching and goes over to acting. Rehearsing for the showcase of The Ever After A Musical. Lunch happens at noon, and the dance rehearsal, set design. We'll end with a run through.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Inside Out Theatre has been serving South Florida with a variety of theatre classes, programs and productions since it began in 1998. The company is a 501(C) not-for-profit organization whose mission is addressing social and community concerns and building character through the performing arts. The company has received numerous awards for its work and produces an average of eight musicals a year. While the Intensives aim to put up a Broadway musical in a concentrated time and professional atmosphere, the Summer Conservatory is a unique program that offers students instruction in a variety of theatre arts while they create an original production based on a socially relevant theme.

Classes include voice, dance, mime, physical comedy, improv, stage-make-up, Shakespeare, audition techniques, film/commercial acting, play-writing, and more. No matter what program a student is involved in, Inside Out Theatre strives to create a positive and creative atmosphere which allows each individual the opportunity for maximum growth, fun, close bonds with new friends and the best summer experience possible!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The discipline of ballet challenges the student physically and mentally. It is the foundation for any type of dance and enhances flexibility and control for any athlete. Our school emphasizes the importance of a correct foundation so that students will have the opportunity to develop skills to their maximum potential.

This Summer Dance Program is specially designed with different characteristics: Some classes are for students who need to develop skills, strength, clean up defects or difficulties, and get ready for the serious training they will be experiencing during the next school year. Other classes are meant to be an introduction to ballet, tap, jazz, and flamenco through a very special training method for younger students. Field trips to cultural sites. Final performance by the children showcasing all the disciplines they have learned through the three weeks of the program. Lunch is included in the tuition.
