The first half of the day is structured like a typical school day. We will will focus on the maintenance of skills and concepts they have acquired throughout the school year. Our afternoon activities will be based around each session's theme, giving your child the opportunity to explore fun, new concepts, while focusing on the areas of motor skills, sensory integration, communication, social and functional life skills. With our unique 1:4 ratio, campers will receive the individualized attention needed to thrive throughout the summer!

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): At the end of each two week sessions their will be a showcase to show what the children have been working on. All are welcome to come!

CAMP FACILITIES: 16 A/C & heated cabins in 2 villages, sandy waterfront hosts swimming and water activities, basketball court, sand volleyball court, games garden, 2 sports fields, 2 paintball fields, low & high ropes courses, archery range, rifle range, open air crafts building, A/C dining hall, open air chapel/amphitheater, large central fire circle, updated health center and a large education/activity building.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YMCA Camp Winona provides a great traditional, overnight camping experience. We try to balance tradition with the interests of today’s campers by offering fun, exciting and safe activities. Campers are grouped by age and gender and stay in small rustic cabins complete with built in bunk beds and air conditioning. There are up to 12 campers and two staff in each cabin surrounding centrally located bathhouses. Our meals are prepared by our camp chefs and served family style in our air conditioned dining hall. Our well-balanced meals include cereal, salad bar and sandwich options for those campers wishing an alternative/supplement to the meal. We are equipped to accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs.

At the Y, we believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. Our Resident Camp provides an exciting, safe community for young people to explore the outdoors, build self-esteem, develop interpersonal skills, create lasting friendships and make incredible memories. YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: YMCA Camp Winona offers year-round possibilities with our Conference and Retreat program. We host churches, youth groups, clubs and organizations, school groups, businesses, family reunions, large picnics, seminars and other events throughout the year. CAMP FACILITIES: We have full stage and lighting. We have 2 large dressing rooms and 2 small dressing rooms. We have a beautiful outdoor strip mall. Participants will be able to use all in-house theatrical equipment.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This day camp has fun filled days with classes at our Central, and South Campuses including ballet, jazz, and musical theatre. It is targeted to beginning and intermediate students ages 7 through 12.

Students can participate in half or full-day sessions. After technique classes are completed, students can have fun with acting classes, arts and crafts, games, and movies.

CAMP FACILITIES: Great facility with 2 large dance rooms with sprung floors for the safety and well fair of students. A changing room, reception area, and bathrooms.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The themed kiddie camps are dedicated to children ages 3 - 6 years of age. The program allows children to explore various types of dance forms such as ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz, acrobatics and flamenco. Children are given daily dance related arts and crafts projects. The program also allows children to further develop their love of dance through stories. Children learn to express themselves through dance in a creative, energetic and nurturing environment. Programs are two weeks long per session. Imagination is brought into play as they learn to dance with their favorite movie characters! Family and friends are invited to come on the last day of the session to a small showing.

Dance Intensives are offered to students at the age of 8 years or older. It is designed for all levels of dance to further develop their technique while experiencing other forms of dance such as Modern Dance, Improvisation and Composition. This Summer Dance Program is specially designed with different characteristics: Some classes are for students who need to develop skills, strength, clean up defects or difficulties, and get ready for the serious training they will be experiencing during the next school year. Other classes are meant to be an introduction to ballet, tap, jazz, and flamenco through a very special training method for younger students. Field trips to cultural sites. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Broadway®, presented by the FSCJ Artist Series, returns to Jacksonville for its 14th year from Monday, June 16 – Friday, June 20, 2014 from 8:30AM – 5:00PM at the Wilson Center for the Arts! Camp Broadway® introduces young people aged 10 to 17 to the world of Broadway on-stage and behind the scenes. Campers work with Broadway directors, choreographers and musical directors to receive training in acting, scene study, improvisation, music theory, solo and ensemble singing, movement, and dance.

This five-day performing arts program offers each camper the opportunity to expand his or her creative talents, build self-esteem, learn the art of collaboration, and gain a fuller respect and understanding of musical theatre. No singing, dancing, or acting experience necessary - just a willingness to have fun and a curiosity about what happens on stage and behind the curtain!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts has been hosting musical theatre writing workshops for young artists all over the globe for the last 30+ years. All Lovewell programs are staffed by fully-trained professional artists, and every collaborative work of musical theatre that is created is truly one-of-a-kind. At Lovewell, students are given the opportunity to create a new work of theatre from scratch, all the while exploring different avenues of the arts that they may have not been exposed to previously. Lovewell aims to embody collaboration, creativity, and community, and we are thrilled to be able to offer our workshops to the amazingly gifted young artists residing in Broward County.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our out of town campers are personally picked up at the Miami International Airport and brought to our camp. (about 20 minutes away) They stay in the college dorms with our awesome counselors - providing a total camp experience. Day campers enjoy a daily hot lunch in the UM cafeteria.
