CAMP FACILITIES: Sugar Bowl's amenities include resort lodging, three catered meals daily, and full private access to the mountain resort for our camp. RVs can be accommodated with advance notice.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This program is designed for the young dance student, ages 8 to 10, who are currently enrolled in Level 1, 2 or 3 Ballet and are taking a minimum of two to three ballet classes a week. It is a comprehensive program that enhances the dancer’s classical ballet training and introduces the dancer to character, historical dance, jazz, etiquette and proper stretching. Southland Ballet Academy's outstanding faculty will be teaching this camp.

CAMP FACILITIES: The camp uses Castilleja School's wonderful indoor and outdoor facilities, including gymnasiums, art rooms, stage, swimming pool, fields and classrooms.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: For more than 45 years, Casti Camp at Castilleja School has provided girls an all-day camp where fun, learning and friendships have been the focus. Camp Gan Israel offers two 3-week sessions. Session 1 is June 27-July 15, 2016, Session 2 is July 18-August 4, 2016. There is a discount for enrolling for all 6 weeks.

CAMP FACILITIES: Beautiful and recently renovated Black Box Theater. It has a stage and comfortable back stage. All of our props and backgrounds are designed and created by hand. Elevated seating that can fit up to 90 people. There is a ticket booth and a functioning restroom. Different types of lighting: black light, fluorescent, stage lighting, rope lighting, and a disco ball. A working sound board, music, and up-to-date stereo system. We utilize different media options as well.

A few buildings away is our main office, where rehearsals may sometimes be held. It has 3 spacious rehearsal rooms, each with a baby grand piano.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Brother's Grimm "go Broadway" as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and The Witch meet and interact on their journeys.

Performance for family and friends at the end of the camp.

We do not skip out on costumes! Every participant will be outfitted in a role and age appropriate costumes for the performance. The actors and actress will also interact with carefully designed and created props.

Students will be learning stage position, projection of their voice, blocking, how to interpret a script, read music, sing in a group, and dancing.

Since the plays we do are musicals, the actors and actresses will learn the basics of singing. It includes, reading music, matching pitch, group and possibly solo singing, tempo, and rhythms. Our choreographer will teach dance positions, dance moves, rhythm, counting, and tempo.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Monday through Friday, 9AM to 4PM, beginning July 15 and going through August 9th. The camp location will be in Livermore, and is for children aged 7-17. The performances are on Saturday, August 10th and Sunday, August 11th.

The regular tuition for the 4 week program is $1100. Enrollments before July 1, 2013 will receive a 10% discount, reducing the tuition to $990. A 25% deposit of $247.50 is due at the time of registration. The balance of the tuition is due by July 1st, 2013. Enrollments after July 1st must pay the full tuition at the time of enrollment.

CAMP FACILITIES: Mariposa Day Camp, located in Altadena, offers themed weeks with several different emphases for girls to choose from. Girls participate in new and traditional Girl Scouts activities while making new friends, developing self-esteem and making lasting memories. Introducing new and exciting activities this summer such as a brand new gaga court, low ropes and team building activities plus kids kitchen which gives each girl the opportunity to prepare a fun and different snack each week. CAMP FACILITIES: Shawl-Anderson Dance Center has four studios in a converted Berkeley Craftsman house. The center has been a vibrant part of the Berkeley community for over 50 years, teaching non-competitive dance to all ages and levels.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This immersion is for students who have just completed grades 8-12 with at least two consistent years of modern dance training. The focus to immerse intermediate and advanced students in a rigorous week of training designed to enhance and support their technical proficiency in modern dance. Each day, students will take ballet and modern technique classes along with a variety of additional classes including inversions, floor work, phrase work and more. Staff includes Shawl-Anderson faculty and other Bay Area guest artists.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Fei Tian Academy of the Arts California is a middle and high school with programs in classical Chinese dance, fine art, and music. We offer an after-school program for elementary and middle school aged students during the academic year, in addition to weekend classes in dance and fine art, and private lessons in piano, violin, and viola.

At Girls Leadership we want you to be true-to-you. Every day starts with community games. Our theatre-based workshops focus on developing personal and societal leadership, such as how to ask for what you need. In these sessions girls practice new tools for speaking up for themselves and for others.

We also create beautiful art projects, stay active outside, and always have a spirit theme for the day. These activities are designed to encourage girls to embrace who they are, reflect on what they believe, and give them an opportunity to express themselves creatively.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Young Dancer Camp is designed for the young dance student, ages 8 to 10, who are currently enrolled in Ballet Level 1, 2 or 3 and are taking a minimum of two to three ballet classes a week. It is a comprehensive program that enhances the dancer’s classical ballet training and introduces the dancer to character, historical dance, jazz, etiquette and proper stretching. Southland Ballet Academy's outstanding faculty will be teaching this camp.

CAMP FACILITIES: ODC Dance Commons, a 23,000 square foot building located at 351 Shotwell St. (between 17th and 18th streets), offers an environment where professionals, emerging artists, students, and dance fans can congregate, exchange ideas and inspire one another. A gathering place for our cultural community since 2005, new art work is percolating in every studio, 200 classes a week in all forms of dance draw hundreds of students of all ages each day, and the Healthy Dancers' Clinic tends to our constituents daily. Lectures, discussions, journal club meetings and neighborhood gatherings round out the activities at the Commons. The ODC Dance Commons has become a source of pride for the region and a resource for artists and arts organizations from across the country.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This Summer ODC School will be offering an 8 week session for our Young Creative classes for students age 2-7, classes will take place Saturday's and Sunday's June 7-July 27, 2014. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Star Dance Studio has been a neighborhood and family style dance school since 1950. Over sixty-eight years! Our faculty and staff are warm and caring people who love working with children. Instructors are adults well experienced in their dance art and teaching skills. For camp assistants, we often bring in the teen and college students whom we've trained to teach.

Each Wednesday, we take a walk to the Golden Gate Park's Arboretum and Shakespeare's Garden. There, we take candid dance photographs (shared with you). Afterward, the kids get to enjoy one of the best pizza restaurants in San Francisco, "Pasquale's Pizzeria"! A healthy salad and cheese pizza. Water or juice to drink. (No soda.) CAMP FACILITIES: Rising Star is all about musical theatre. Each group (we have 2 age groups) does a production.

This Summer Little Stars, 5 - 7 year olds, will do The Music Man Revue.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Campers arrive at 9 AM the younger group stays until 1 and the older group stays until 3. We spend our time singing, learning songs, learning dances, working on lines and blocking, working on acting, and creating a special show for the end of our Camp session. CAMP FACILITIES: In both NYC and LA, campuses are accessible only with a valid AMDA photo identification card, which High School Summer Conservatory students receive.

Supervision is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. When students are not in class with our world-class faculty, they are supervised by members of our trained AMDA staff.

Students leave campus only for planned and chaperoned outings, which may include going to a Broadway show or visiting NYC and LA tourist destinations.

CAMP FACILITIES: The facility is rustic, in keeping with its wilderness adventure program. Participants sleep in cabins and large traditional tipis. There is a bathhouse with private showers and flush toilets. In addition, there is an administrative building with the camp's office and health center, recreation hall, dining hall, bike shop, arts & crafts hut, pool, volleyball court, archery range, challenge ropes course, horseshoe pit, disc golf course, and a camp fire area including a stage.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The camp's focus is on helping children 8 to 17 take another step toward becoming happy, healthy, well-adjusted adults.

We promote positive youth development through a program that includes many of the summer camp classics, such as arts & crafts, archery, camp fire, dance, drama, games, swimming, etc., plus exhilarating wilderness adventure activities, such as rock climbing, mountain biking, mountain boarding, horseback trail rides, hikes, backpacking, etc.

CAMP COUNSELOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Brief Description: Camp counselors at Pali Adventures are responsible for the physical and emotional well-being of campers. They supervise campers in a cabin setting, at mealtimes, and during activities. Counselors are in charge of facilitating activities throughout the day. Counselors work as a team to ensure all campers have a fun and memorable experience at camp. Counselors report directly to their Specialty Director and Group Leader.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Exhibit characteristics of responsibility, dependability, leadership, patience, punctuality, hard work, sense of humor, self-control, integrity, common sense, good judgment and a positive enthusiastic attitude.
 Complete the staff application and interview process.
 Attend staff training (May 30 – June 12) and all in-service trainings.
 Must have completed high school and be a minimum 18 years of age or older as of 5/30/20.
 Desire and ability to work with children.
 Other duties as assigned

Staff members are entrusted with the care and safety of young children in a rustic setting replete with natural and man-made dangers. All staff members must have the ability to respond immediately to an emergency. Any staff member with a disability that may affect the Staff Member’s ability to physically perform these requirements should immediately inform the Human Resources Department to determine possible reasonable accommodations.

• Serve the campers as a positive role model.
• Camp staff members will actively supervise campers both in assigned cabin groups (typically 10 campers and 2 counselors) and at assigned specialty, elective, evening and weekend activity programs.

• Learn the likes and dislikes of each camper in your care by showing genuine interest.
• Recognize and respond to the opportunities for problem solving in the group.
• The counselor is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of each camper within their cabin group and with whom they come into contact. E.g. drinking water, daily showers, teeth brushing, active supervision during rest/ down time, application of sunscreen and lip balm, appropriate attire for the activity they will be attending, etc.

• Provide opportunities for each individual to experience success during camp.
• The staff member must never leave campers unsupervised.

• Develop opportunities for positive interaction between campers and staff.

• Carry out established roles in enforcing camp safety regulations.

CAMP FACILITIES: This site offers indoor dormitory sleeping in bunks with mattresses provided. Campers are grouped together by age and supervised by their counseling staff. The beautiful setting also allows for swimming, access to the Russian River, outdoor basketball court, a play area, a cozy main house lodge, a recreation and gaming room, an outdoor campfire circle, cozy places to sit and share, a crafts shack, and a wonderful Redwood chapel.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Saint Francis is a week filled with programs that allow campers to explore and experience outdoor activities and create for themselves a closer connection to God and their communities.

Established in 2001, CSF moved to its new host site in 2014. This Camp Meeker location affords opportunities for activities like crafts, campfire, archery, games, sports, dance, water fun and nature hikes.

We build on themes of understanding and compassion in all of our programs, particularly in chapel, our scarf program, group games and discussions and our creative lessons and themes throughout the week.

Most of our staff are volunteers and attended camp as campers, and they are dedicated to providing a highly spirited, fun, and welcoming environment. We all strive to be good role models of the Christian way of life. We hope that our positive example and loving Christian environment promotes campers to grow spiritually.

The Scarf program, adopted from the YMCA’s ragger program, teaches campers important life skills, by taking on personal challenges and working towards overcoming them successfully. Ultimately, this helps develop lifelong tools a camper needs for personal growth. * Staff members are screened and trained in program, policies, and safety awareness. Our program is sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of California and is welcoming and inclusive.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Youth ages 14-15 are welcome to apply as Program Aides, we also accept volunteers for Counselors (and CITs) and Program leaders. Training for the staff will be held in the Bay Area in July 2017.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our caring, fun, and nurturing counselors help provide a wonderful environment for our campers. Our focus is on fun as much as on weight loss. Our goal is to have your camper leave armed with the knowledge to continue maintaining their weight loss goals. We offer three, six and nine week sessions throughout the summer with available weekly extensions.

ARIZONA: Camp Shane Arizona located at the naturally beautiful Orme School with 360 degree views of distant mesas and mountains boasting 19th century ranch buildings is truly a place to laugh, learn and lose weight. At an elevation of 4000 feet the climate is remarkably ideal without the intense heat of southern Arizona. This camp is unique in that it offers 25,000 acres for horseback riding as well as the facility offers climate controlled indoor gymnasiums, green playing fields and lawns and a beautiful outdoor pool. Campers ranging in age from 8 – 18 can take advantage of two, four or six week sessions at an affordable price. Your camper will experience a life change they will never forget.

CALIFORNIA: At Camp Shane California you will enjoy the breathtaking 225 acre California Lutheran University campus situated between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. With a climate controlled state of the art fitness center, a variety of outdoor sporting facilities, a huge aquatic center and 6 brand new tennis courts Camp Shane California will transform your camper’s life. Our focus is always on having fun combined with a balance of fitness and nutrition for a truly life-changing experience. We offer two, four and six week sessions that are sure to meet your budgetary needs. With our proven program your camper is guaranteed to lose weight and gain a healthy outlook to last a lifetime.

GEORGIA: Camp Shane Georgia’s campus is located at Emmanuel College in northeast Georgia in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. An hour and a half drive from Atlanta, Georgia it's a quiet and safe setting on 200 acres. All facilities air-conditioned and it boasts an indoor 9-lane collegiate size pool, Aquatic Center, 4000 Sq.ft. air-conditioned Fitness Center with state of the art wellness equipment, fabulous new dormitories, quad style with one or two campers sharing a bathroom. Minutes from Georgia state parks, river activities, and Lake Hartwell. It's a wonderful place to experience summer fun while learning about nutrition, healthy cooking and fitness.

TEXAS: Camp Shane Texas is set on a lovely 83-acre, beautifully landscaped and wooded campus with attractive and well kept facilities in gorgeous Texas Hill Country setting. Dormitories are modern with custom furniture, granite bathroom counter tops and polished concrete floors. All sport facilities, dorms and classrooms are air conditioned. There is an outdoor classroom, garden, orchard, chicken coop, and miles of nature trails as well as a state-of-the-art weight room, fitness center, multi-purpose room, two gymnasiums and a new indoor swimming pool. Wholesome and nutritious Shane approved healthy menu prepared on-site. We are not a fat camp nor are we a boot camp. We combine all the fun of traditional summer camp with the benefits of weight loss.

WISCONSIN: Camp Shane Wisconsin is set on 80 acres, located off the shore of Lake Michigan. Dorms are newly constructed, modern and fully air-conditioned. There is an extensive, state of the art, multi-million-dollar fitness center and large grass playing fields to run fun fitness activities outdoors. The property also boasts an Olympic size indoor swimming pool – great for water exercise. Extensive walking paths on the grounds allow for easy exercise and a scenic river runs through the campus which is suitable for kayaking. Campers can relax in a beautiful, modern lounge and use the theatre for performance arts activities and to watch movies. Our program features our healthy yet delicious portion controlled foods.

CAMP FACILITIES: 5 state of the art dance studios with accommodation provided in dormitories on campus.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Experience the thrill of performance this summer by taking part in our exciting and rewarding Performance Course. This specially designed program gives you an insight into how it feels to be part of a creative process and allows you to develop your skills as a dancer and performer.

Work with professional dancers and teachers and take part in the creation of original pieces of choreography in preparation for a public performance.

OTHER CAMP INFO: The camp is a residential camp but day students are also welcome.
