TYPE OF CAMP: Day Camp. Summer Camps are Monday-Friday, 9 am to 3 pm

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: The Schoolhouse Arts Center offers year-round theater arts classes, including dance, voice, acting and junior musicals. We also produce 5 main stage productions a year that students are encouraged to audition for.

Dance, Musical Theater, Theater, Music/Band, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: Schoolhouse Arts Center is located in the Old Standish High School in Sebago Lake Village, on Route 114 just past the intersection of Route 35.
CAMP FACILITIES: The SchoolhouseArtsCenter has a main theater where the main productions are performed, a Black Box theater for smaller productions, a dance room, acting room and music room for classes.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Schoolhouse Arts Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing to the community a fun, creative, educational, and supportive arts environment where people can grow, develop skills, and be involved in the arts. The Schoolhouse offers summer theater camps as well as after-school classes during the school year. We also offer a variety of other educational or cultural opportunities: one-time or regularly recurring activities outside the normal class schedule.
FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Families are encouraged to audition for main stage productions as a fun activity to do together.

Theatre Camps:
Storybook Theatre (ages 5-12)
Camp: July 6 - July 10 / Show July 10 at 2:30pm
Meet new friends and learn about being on stage! Familiar and re-imagined storybook characters take the stage as the kids put on an original show at the end of the week.
Princess and Pirate Camp (ages 6-14)
Camp: July 13-17 / Show July 17 at 2:30pm
Recreate some of your favorite characters, and create some new ones! They will come to life in an original production at the end of the week.
Create Your Own Adventure Camp (ages 8-14)
Camp: July 20-24 / Show July 24 at 2:30pm
For the imaginative camper, this camp will allow students to create their own show from scratch, from writing an original script, casting a show, and mounting it for performance, all in one week!
Shakespeare Workshop: As You Like It (ages 12-18)
8-Week Camp beginning June 22
3 days a weeks: Sun, Mon, Wed
Shows: August 14-16 Directed by Eileen Avery
This workshop is an energetic, intensive, performance-oriented experience for young actors ready to delve into Shakespeare. Collaborative workshops will introduce the language, story, characters, and ideas of Shakespeare’s As You Like It. Classes will incorporate movement, voice, improvisation and acting to enable students to explore the play. Schedule to be determined by availability of students.

Sleeping Beauty Kids (ages 6-11)
Camp July 27 - August 7 / Shows August 7-9
Auditions June 27-28
Directed by Dillon Bates
Join us for this retelling of a fairy tale favorite. Filled with vibrant characters, singing and dancing, Sleeping Beauty is sure to keep you wide awake!
